The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation plans to move to the latest electronic claims reporting standard, which will require much more data from insurers, regulators said Wednesday.
“We certainly realize this will be a significant change for some insurance carriers and certainly for self-insured government entities, since we haven't updated our claims reporting standard since 1995,” Joe McElrath, deputy commissioner for business process, told insurers at a quarterly meeting.
