If Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards agrees, Louisiana will be the second state this year to enact a law creating a rebuttable presumption that mental stress is work-related for most first responders.
The Legislature last week passed the final version of Senate Bill 107, and the bill is now awaiting the governor's signature.
