Health providers need to get ready for changes in Patient-Reported Functional Outcomes, the California Orthopaedic Association said in a report released last month.The changes are a result of the Affordable Care Act, according to the COA, which published a white paper in April entitled “Patient-Reported Functional Outcome Data in an Orthopaedic Practice in California.” For example, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services plans to begin requiring that providers obtain pre- and post-procedure PRO measurements.
