Self-Insured Reporting Threshold Decreasing to $9,500

The threshold for self-insured employers to report claim loss data to the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division will decrease to $9,500 next year. The division said the reporting threshold is the split point used by the National Council on Compensation Insurance for experience rating. Claim costs up to the split point are considered primary losses and are given greater weight than excess losses above the split point when calculating an employer's experience modification.
