The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation is accepting public comments on a proposed rule that would expand injured workers’ access to telemedicine services.
The proposal would lift a restriction in Medicare-based reimbursement policy that limits the use of telemedicine to underserved areas, known as health professional shortage areas, which are typically rural regions with few health care providers.
