Sunz Appoints Chief Underwriting Officer

Sunz Insurance Solutions announced Wednesday the appointment of Blake Souers as chief underwriting officer.

Souers will report to Sunz President Steven F. Herrig.

Souers previously was head underwriter for Harbor America in Houston and a program underwriter for Atlas General Insurance Co., according to his LinkedIn page.

Souers is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business marketing with a concentration on computer science and programming. He holds an Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation and is in the final stages of earning his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Sunz is a workers' compensation carrier based in Bradenton, Florida, that specializes in large-deductible policies sold to the professional employer organization industry.
