The California Senate Insurance Committee will hold a hearing to explore the status of the State Compensation Insurance Fund on March 11 in Sacramento.
Erin Ryan, a consultant to the committee, said Thursday that the hearing was not prompted by any complaints or concerns and is simply due diligence and a routine oversight hearing.
"We're just checking in," she said.
Ryan said lawmakers haven't held a hearing to discuss activities at the state-chartered workers' compensation carrier since 2008.
