A Florida golf and country club remains shut down over a worker’s compensation issue.
Plant City officials with the Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation, issued a stop-work order on Aug. 12 at Walden Lake Golf and Country Club, the Plant City Observer reported.
“It has not been elevated to a code violation at this time,” Code Enforcement Manager Tray Towles told the newspaper. “But I anticipate, if it is not corrected by the end of (last) week, we will be issuing a notice of violation.”
The city recently received a complaint about loose board and holes in one of the course’s bridges. There is no mention of the stop-work order on the Walden Lake website.
