Some In-Person Hearings Resume, but Face Coverings Required

Compensation agencies in five states announced updates to protocols for meetings and hearings as the coronavirus pandemic continues. Georgia: Starting Monday, in-person hearings will resume, but parties must wear face coverings and stay 6 feet apart, the state Board of Workers' Compensation said in a notice this week. Attorneys should also screen clients and witnesses by asking if they have been exposed to people sickened by the virus or who have tested positive. Other restrictions apply.
