The Senate Appropriations Committee put a hold on bills that would revise processes relating to second injury fund claims and allow prosecutors to charge self-referral schemes as a felony or misdemeanor.
The committee on Monday sent AB 1329 and AB 1398 to its suspense file, a holding spot for bills projected to cost the general fund at least $50,000, or $150,000 from special funds such as the Workers' Compensation Administration Revolving Fund.
