DWC Releases Plan for Compliance Audits

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation finalized its annual compliance and investigations audit plan, identifying issues to review during the fiscal year that ends in August 2022. Goals for the annual audit include ensuring timely and accurate benefit payments, timely medical reimbursement and timely and accurate reporting of electronic data to the DWC. The review of benefit payments will focus on whether carriers accurately paid lifetime income and death benefits and accurately reported claims data to the division.
