A bearing maker in Bucyrus could pay up to $70,000 in proposed penalties after one of its workers sustained in injury that later required the amputation of a fingertip, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced on Wednesday.
The Timken Co. was cited for just one violation, but it was substantial because the it was the third time the company had been cited for machine guarding violations in the past five years.
