Home Health Care Operators Arrested on Comp and other Charges

The owners of a home health care agency operating in the Bronx, N.Y., have been charged with withholding nearly $100,000 in wages from workers and failing to carry workers' compensation coverage, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced Wednesday.Schneiderman said Maria Etim and Charles Mayers, the owners of Concept Home Care, were arrested along with the company's manager, Wayne Patterson. They were arraigned last week and charged with failing to pay 62 home health care aides between 2009 and 2013.Schneiderman said Etim and Mayers enticed aides to keep working without pay...
