State Bucks National Trend of Declining Frequency

A new report from the National Council on Compensation Insurance underscores a trend that has been developing for the last decade: The number of claims and workplace injuries continues to drop across the country. From 2011 to 2016, claims frequency dropped 19% across 37 states that the rate-making organization monitors, the NCCI reported last week.  In Virginia, that trend held true until last year, when the number of claims and first reports of injury climbed.
