The Florida Insurance Guaranty Association is proposing changes to its bylaws that would eliminate guaranteed board of directors' seats to members affiliated with industry groups and instead assign seats to the state's largest insurers.
The proposed changes to FIGA's Plan of Operation would eliminate language that now assigns two board seats to insurers affiliated with the Property and Casualty Association of America, one seat to an insurer affiliated with the American Insurance Association and another seat not affiliated with those groups.
