Grand Jury Indicts Doc for Selling Prescriptions

A federal grand jury returned a 27-count indictment charging a Visalia doctor with conspiracy to dispense oxycodone and selling prescriptions, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California said.According to the indictment, Dr. Terrill E. Brown, 61, sold prescriptions for large quantities of prescription drugs, including opioid painkillers oxycodone and hydrocodone, to customers that did not have a medical need for the medications. Additionally, he deposited cash from selling prescriptions into different personal bank accounts to avoid currency transaction-reporting requirements.U.S....
