Court Revives Worker's Claim for Bootlace-Tying Accident

An Ohio appellate court overturned a grant of summary judgment for an employer that found a worker was not entitled to benefits for his injuries from a fall while trying to tie his bootlaces. Frederick Judice worked for FedEx Ground Package System Inc. as a package handler. According to Judice, FedEx requires its employees to go through a metal detector upon arriving at work.
