The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) supports next week's Drive Safely Work Week as a means of improving transportation safety and tackling the No. 1 cause of on-the-job deaths.
The Oct. 3 through 7 campaign is sponsored by the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS).
During the 2005 Drive Safely Work Week ASSE and its members encourage people to drive wisely, follow traffic laws and rules, and to devote full attention to the driving task at hand. If not, an accident could occur at any second changing a person's life forever.
