DLWD Notes Anti-Misclassifications Steps

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DLWD) and Department of the Treasury reported they have taken steps to ensure that employers do not misclassify their employees as independent contractors in order to avoid paying payroll taxes or workers' compensation coverage for their workers.
