W.Va. Leaders Tout Comp Reform to Auto Industry

West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin and business leaders touted their reform of the workers' compensaton system and the arrival of Toyota Motor Manufacturing-West Virginia in a pitch to Japanese auto parts makers in New York, The State Journal reported Friday. The newspaper quoted Steve Roberts, president of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, as saying Manchin and the delegation underscored the state's decision to scrap it's state-run workers' compensation fund last year and create privately-run BrickStreet Insurance in the Nov. 9 meeting.
