Five labor contractors and two others were arrested last week by a workers' compensation fraud task force, the California Department of Insurance said.
The San Joaquin Valley Premium Fraud Task Force made the arrests Thursday after an investigation into suspected illegal activities of four agricultural labor contractors in Fresno, Kings, Tulare and Kern counties.
