Employers groups are lined up with amicus briefs hoping to shape the scheduled April 3 Supreme Court trial in Brodie-Welcher.
The employers appear to be jockeying with the California Applicants' Attorneys Association (CAAA) to be a trusted source for justices as they prepare for the Los Angeles proceeding.
"This is the final hustle," said CAAA President-elect Sue Borg.
CAAA, Los Angeles County, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the California Workers' Compensation Institute and the California Chamber of Commerce all had filed amicus briefs as of Wednesday.
