The American Insurance Association on Friday praised New York Gov. George Pataki's veto of a bill that would have eased reserve requirements for group self-insured trusts and increased the pre-authorization threshold for medical services.
As previously reported by WorkCompCentral, Pataki on Wednesday vetoed A. 8713-B, which the AIA opposed "because it would have increased costs in the state's workers compensation system," the group said in a press release.
