KS Bill on Apportionment, Post-Term Goes Forward

The Wichita Business Journal reports that a bill running through the Kansas legislature supported by business groups and opposed by labor will "clear up erosions" to that state's reform legislation of 1993. SB 181 was the original bill introduced last month for the purpose of clarifying apportionment rules as well as post termination work comp claims. The bill contained many other provisions as well as was deemed too complex for passage in the Senate Commerce Committee, however, so it was pared down to the two basic issues and passed out of committee.Business says that Kansas law never intende...
