Unitrin Reducing WC Business Lines

Unitrin, Inc. (NYSE:UTR) released its second quarter financial results yesterday saying that it will pursue a reduction in writing business for commercial lines including workers' compensation. Unitrin reported net income of $22.7 million ($0.34 per common share) for the three months ended June 30, 2003, compared to net income of $4.4 million ($0.06 per common share) for the same period in 2002.
