Attorneys for Read Excavating Co., Inc. have appealed an arbitrator's decision awarding a handicap-accessible conversion van to a Local 150 Operating Engineer who sustained work injuries resulting in quadriplegia. Stephen McKenzie, an experienced operating engineer from Texas, relocated to Lockport, Illinois in 1998.
