Justices Reject Liability Waivers in Conn. Workplaces

The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled that a waiver agreement that releases an employer from liability for negligence that leads to a workplace injury is against public policy. The justices rejected the liability waivers and releases -- known as exculpatory agreements -- in employment, saying they violate Connecticut public policy.
