UT: Renewed Pressure To Privatize State's WC Fund

The Utah Taxpayers Association and the Utah Business Coalition have joined in efforts to privatize of the Utah Workers Compensation Fund. Both the Association and Coalition have put into place guidelines for the drafting of any bill seeking to change how the fund operates. Gov. Mike Leavitt, currently under pressure by both groups to hold a special session in September, opposes privatization of the fund.
