Union Says Ohio Still Too Generous to Hospitals

Two statewide groups with conflicting viewpoints both oppose a hospital fee schedule that won't even be officially released by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation until today. The Service Employees International Union 1199 sent a letter Tuesday to BWC interim Administrator Tina Kielmeyer faulting the fee schedule for being too generous to Ohio hospitals that charge higher rates. And on Friday, the Ohio Hospital Association wrote the bureau to complain the proposed reimbursement formula is too stingy.
