CA Horse Racers May Get Further Reform Relief

AB 701 (Jerome Horton, D-Inglewood), a bill that is estimated would raise $9.5 to $10 million annually in workers' compensation relief for California race horse owners by increasing the takeout on bets, passed through the Senate on Thursday on a 31-6 vote.
