Zenith Chairman Supports Benefit Increase

Zenith National Insurance Co. President and Chairman Stanley Zax broke from the insurance-industry pack and is supporting a bill that would double permanent disability awards over the next three years. In an interview with WorkCompCentral on Tuesday, Zax said he believes the Permanent Disability Rating Schedule imposed by the Division of Workers' Compensation in January 2005 had the "unintended consequence" of slashing indemnity benefits.
