At a time when many states are taking steps to limit litigation in workers' compensation proceedings, Oregon appears ready to head in the opposite direction.The state Workers' Compensation Board has proposed removing an existing cap and allowing attorneys to collect up to 25% of all injured workers' awards. Currently, attorneys can collect 25% of the first $17,500 in proceeds, but only 10% of amounts more than that.
