Illinois officials pinning their hopes on workers’ compensation reforms to break a historic state budget impasse might be disappointed.
The spokesman for House Speaker Michael Madigan said Thursday that the state already reformed its workers’ compensation system five years ago, resulting in decreased costs, with more on the way.
