Fourth School District Employee Faces Fraud Charges

By Greg Jones, Western Bureau Chief Another employee of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District was arrested Wednesday night on charges of workers’ compensation insurance fraud, bringing to four the number of district employees who have been charged with fraud since the end of January. It's a number that Rick Wooley, an applicants' attorney in Pomona, said sounds high based on the size of the school district and the average number of cases that are prosecuted every year, but he added, "The district attorney isn't going to issue warrants just to make an employer happy."...
