With profound sadness, the Law Offices of David J. Shepard announces the death of David J. Shepard after a very short-term illness at the age of 74.  He was the sole practitioner of a workers’ compensation practice that was founded in 1986. 

Shepard was admitted to the California State Bar in 1978 after getting his juris doctorate from the University of San Diego.  He received an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa).

In his spare time, Shepard enjoyed spending time with his wife, hiking, being out in nature and reading.

Shepard is survived by his wife of 22 years, a son, three grandchildren, a brother and extended family.  Shepard was a remarkable person known for his dry sense of humor, intelligence and generosity.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
