The Insurance Council of Texas (ICT) will host its Annual Workers' Compensation Conference Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Hilton Austin Hotel, 500 East 4th Street. The conference is an excellent opportunity for workers' compensation professionals from across the state and the nation to learn about key Texas issues and national trends impacting the business of workers' compensation. To find out more information about the conference and to register, click here.

If you write workers' compensation insurance in Texas or are involved in decisions about claims, compliance, or to ensure you are up on the latest trends, you won't want to miss this conference. Past conference attendees have included claims professionals, risk managers, attorneys, regulators, and others, and we expect a similar audience this year.

This year's agenda includes speakers who are subject matter experts and thought leaders on topics ranging from catastrophic claims, best practices for claims handling, emerging trends for workers' compensation, and workplace safety issues, among others. ICT will be applying for continuing education for insurance adjusters, attorneys, and case managers, and if approved, attendees will have a chance to earn important continuing education hours.

In addition, the conference will provide attendees with plenty of networking opportunities before or after the conference. This year's venue, the Austin Hilton, is in the heart of Austin's entertainment district and near many wonderful restaurants and music venues.

Albert Betts, ICT Executive Director and former Texas Workers' Compensation Commissioner, says ICT's conference is one of the best ways for Texas professionals to stay informed and connect with their peers. "Our goal is to make sure our attendees leave the conference feeling like they have a better understanding of sometimes complex issues and had fun while learning."
