Rock the Comp Summer Event

Thursday, July 11, 2019 | 1047 | 0

The band CC&R will be making its San Fernando Valley debut this August at a fundraising event for Kids' Chance of California.

CC&R was formed in 2015 thanks to former WorkCompCentral Director of Education David Weiss, when he brought Judge Clint Fenderson, Judge William Carero, and Judge Robert Rassp to play during a rating seminar to the tune of work comp themed rock parodies.

While the name CC&R does represent the three founding members (Clint, Carero, and Rassp) it's also a play on words, for seeing a Compromise and Release document, or  "seeing a C&R".

Today CC&R has grown to 7 members, all of whom work in the workers’ comp industry. While the band has played two other fundraising gigs at the Anaheim House of Blues, this event marks their first open area concert in the San Fernando Valley.

"The event is intended to bring together people who work in the San Fernando Valley" says founding member Judge Rassp.

Proceeds will go towards the non-profit Kids’ Chance of California, who provides scholarship opportunities for the children of workers who have either died or been seriously injured on the job. Originally founded in 1988 in the state of Georgia, the organization has expanded to help the students of injured workers in 39 states.

The "Rock the Comp Summer Event" will take place on August 8th at 5:00 PM at the Pizza Press located on 8440 Balboa Blvd. #101 in Northridge, California. A performance by Emerald City will also be featured.
