HR Law's Bill Rogner Inducted into College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers

Winter Park, Florida - (May 9, 2023) - HR Law co-founder Bill Rogner has been named a Fellow of the nationwide College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, an organization that recognizes distinguished members of the legal community in an effort to set standards of achievement for others in the profession.

Membership in the CWCL is by invitation only to individuals who have proven through sustained performance to their peers, the bar, bench and public the highest standards of professionalism and achievement.

Induction for the Class of 2023 took place in New York City on Saturday, May 6.   The new class of 29 members, which includes two other Floridians, the Honorable Jeffrey L. Jacobs and Geoffrey Bichler, Esquire, joins an elite group of 470 invited from the thousands of workers' compensation judges, professors and attorneys nationwide.                                                                                                                    

A CWCL Fellow:

  • Stands out to newer attorneys as a model of professionalism in deportment and advocacy;
  • Has earned the respect of the bench, opposing counsel and the community;
  • Displays civility in an adversarial relationship;
  • Avoids allowing ideological differences to affect civility in negotiations, litigation and other aspects of law practice;
  • Displays an active interest in resolving issues;
  • Is a student of the law;
  • Has a thirst for knowledge in all areas of the law that affects their representation of their clients in Workers' Compensation;
  • Actively participates in the state, local and /or national Bar.

"I am deeply honored but also humbled to join the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers," said Rogner. "Our industry is fascinating, challenging and rewarding and it's a privilege to be part of this professional community."

Rogner, who is Florida Bar Board Certified as a Specialist in both Workers' Compensation and Appellate Practice, represents employers, carriers and TPAs and has been responsible for approximately 500 appellate decisions.  He serves as president of Kids' Chance of Florida, a nonprofit that helps the children of employees injured or killed on the job to achieve their educational goals.  Appointed to the WCI Hall of Fame in 2018, he is a past president of the Florida Bar's Workers' Compensation Section.
