The Alaska Workers’ Compensation Division announced the maximum benefit for injuries occurring in 2013 will increase 2.3% because of an increase in the state’s average weekly wage, but assessments charged to employers for the Second Injury Fund will remain at the same level as they were in 2012.The maximum weekly benefit for injuries occurring on or after Jan. 1, 2013, is increasing to $1,110 from $1,085 in 2012.
