Report: Older Workers Face Much Higher Workplace Fatality Rates

Older workers are dying in work-related accidents at a much higher rate than that of U.S. workers overall, according to a new analysis that sheds light on one aspect of the aging of the nation’s workforce. From 2006 to 2015, the rate of fatal accidents for workers 55 and older has been from 50% to 65% higher than the rate for all workers, depending on the year, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday.
