The West Virginia Supreme Court unanimously upheld a denial of a coal miner's request to reopen his claim for a right knee injury after he underwent a knee replacement. William Harding worked for Murray American Energy Inc. as a coal miner. He injured his right knee at work in February 2019. Harding filed a workers’ compensation claim, which was held compensable for a right knee sprain. His claim for pain and a medial meniscus tear was denied as compensable diagnoses.
