The Maine Supreme Judicial Court ruled last Tuesday that retail giant Home Depot can suspend workers' compensation payments to the daughter of a Bethel, Maine, worker who disappeared in 2012.
The Bethel Sun Journal reported that Fay Johnson, 62, was receiving benefits for injuries she sustained while working at Home Depot. She went missing on March 6, 2012.
The Supreme Court called Johnson's disappearance an "unusual case" and upheld the decision of a workers' compensation hearing officer to suspend payments until Johnson's whereabouts are confirmed.
