Finance Committee Approves Bills to Consider Electronic Claims Process

The Finance Committee of the Hawaii House of Representatives unanimously passed a pair of bills that would create a working group to make recommendations on developing an electronic system for filing workers' compensation claims. House Resolution 104 and House Concurrent Resolution 168, both by Rep. Mark Nakashima, D-Hamakua, would order the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to convene the working group and appoint a designee to serve as chairman.
