A Southern California woman videotaped lugging car wheels around a parking lot after telling doctors a work injury prevented her from lifting anything heavier than a gallon of milk was sentenced to 109 days in jail, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Linda Boggess, 59, was also placed on formal probation for five years during a sentencing hearing Tuesday and was ordered to pay $14,007 in restitution to the county, which is self-insured for workers’ compensation. A jury convicted Boggess on four felony counts of work comp fraud in June.
