A Long Island chiropractor enrolled in the federal workers' compensation system since 2008 has been charged with fraud after allegedly billing for services that were never provided, federal authorities said.
Joseph Stephan, 50, of Farmingdale, billed the federal Office of Workers' Compensation Program for services on dates when the patient did not visit his office and for services that were not performed during office consultations, according to a news release from the acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
