EDI Claims Release 3.1 Guide and Tables Now Available

The Indiana Workers' Compensation Board's upgraded electronic data interchange website, regarding the more-robust claims release standard 3.1, is now available, although trading partner registration is not, the board announced.

Indiana is one of several states to switch from the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions' previous standard, to 3.1, which includes more data elements for first reports of injury and subsequent reports of injury.

The new standard will be required in Indiana starting Jan. 1, 2019. To report electronically with the new standard, trading partners must complete the registration, which will soon be available on the board's website.
