House Committee Tables Firefighter Presumption

A Montana House of Representatives committee tabled a bill that would have created a presumption that lung diseases are compensable injuries for firefighters and set up a special fund to pay for these claims. The House Business and Labor Committee voted 10-9 to table the Senate Bill 72 on Wednesday. The committee can still return to the measure at a later date and pass it to the floor for a full vote.
