The Business Council of New York State is calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo and state legislators to overhaul the schedule for compensating injured workers for loss of body parts and mandating the use of employer-chosen physicians as part of a broad agenda of reforms in 2015.
The council, which played a key role in a series of 2007 reforms signed into law by former Gov. Eliot Spitzer, released "Fix New York: The 2015 Legislative and Regulatory Agenda" late last month and warned that the cost-saving portions of the Spitzer reforms have been slow to materialize.
