Truck Driver Accused of Working While Receiving TTD Benefits

A Philadelphia truck driver was arrested in July on charges that he worked for another employer while receiving workers’ compensation benefits, according to the Pennsylvania Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority’s monthly newsletter. Derek M. Wiley is charged with three counts of workers’ compensation fraud and one count of theft by deception. According to the criminal complaint, Wiley filed a workers’ compensation claim after he was injured while working as a truck driver.
