New Jersey chiropractor Kesnold Baptiste, 50, of Roselle, is the latest to be arrested in a suspected fraud ring that funneled $850,000 in kickbacks to a medical imaging center, the state attorney general's office announced.
Authorities accuse Baptiste of accepting tens of thousands of dollars in kickbacks from MRI facility owners Ata Chaudhry, 55, and Tariq Din, 48, both of Paramus, in exchange for patient referrals.
The pair pleaded guilty last month to second-degree charges of money laundering, commercial bribery and misconduct of a corporate official.
